About Minesweeper
Minesweeper is a classic single-player logic puzzle. Hidden mines are scattered across the grid, and your job is to reveal every cell that is not a mine. When you reveal a safe cell it shows a number — the count of mines in the eight neighbouring cells — which you use to deduce where the mines are. Flag the cells you suspect, avoid the mines, and clear the board to win. Your very first click is always safe. Choose easy, medium, or hard for a bigger grid with more mines.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play Minesweeper?
Reveal cells without hitting a mine. Each revealed number tells you how many mines touch that cell. Use the clues to deduce which cells are safe and flag the ones you think are mines.
How do I place a flag?
Right-click a cell on desktop, or toggle flag mode and tap on mobile. Flags mark suspected mines so you do not reveal them by accident.
How do you win?
You win when every safe cell (every cell without a mine) has been revealed. The first click is always safe.
Is this Minesweeper free?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser with no sign-up and nothing is uploaded.
